For this reason, we are proud that Bolder Agency is participating in the financial literacy project implemented by the Croatian Pension Insurance Company (HRMOD). As part of this initiative, Bolder Agency organizes educational lectures for high school students, university students, and employees across the Republic of Croatia. The excellent attendance at these lectures reflects both the growing interest in financial education and the importance of improving financial literacy among citizens.

During the lectures, we introduce pupils and students the structure and functioning of the pension system in the Republic of Croatia and present the various options available for retirement savings. For employees, we explain the key concepts and institutions related to the pension system and guide them through the process of joining the second and third pension pillars. In addition, we provide clear explanations of how second-pillar pensions are adjusted and highlight the key differences between indexed and non-indexed pensions.

Financial literacy is developed step by step, and the financial decisions we make today can have a significant impact on our long-term financial security and quality of life.

The events were organized by the Croatian Speech Therapy Society (HLD), SUVAG Zagreb Polyclinic, Department of Speech Therapy of the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation of the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Speech Therapy of the University of Rijeka and the City Office for Social Protection, Health, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities of the City of Zagreb. The aim of the event was to raise awareness about aphasia, the importance of timely recognition of difficulties, and the role of speech therapists and support from the environment in communication and rehabilitation.

In addition to communication difficulties, aphasia also significantly affects the daily life of the individual and their family, because people with aphasia often face a loss of independence, the inability to return to work, and feelings of loneliness, disappointment, and helplessness. This was stated by people with aphasia and their families, who emphasized how important it is to overcome the initial fear together and spend quality time every day motivating people with aphasia to achieve their full potential.

This year, Bolder Agency again had the honor of moderating and leading the Fourth Business Conference of the Spatial Planning Information System (ISPU) in Poreč, which was attended by over 600 participants. The conference presented key updates from the Spatial Planning Information System (ISPU), affordable housing, construction, spatial development, and planning.

Across all four professional conferences of the Spatial Planning Information System that Bolder has moderated and led, more than 2,000 participants have attended. Over 70 hours of professional program were delivered by more than 150 speakers from the public and private sectors as well as academia. In addition, we organized two award ceremonies honoring a total of 15 individuals and organizations, six panel discussions, nine workshops, and 115 presentations. We extend our thanks to Briefing Communications Agency and the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction, and State Assets for their trust and the opportunity to participate in presenting this significant digital transformation project.

The importance of the Spatial Planning Information System is reflected in the numbers: more than 50,000 users access it daily, while the ISPU Geoportal, the hub for all e-services, records over 110 million views per month. The goal of ISPU is to reduce administrative burdens on citizens and achieve greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness in public administration. The digitalization project of the spatial planning, construction, and state assets system is financed by the European Union through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021–2026, with an investment valued at €23.9 million.

The panelists provided concrete interpretations, practical examples, and tools for successful adaptation to the new rules for entrepreneurs, accountants, financial and IT professionals.

As of 1 January 2026, all VAT taxpayers will be required to issue e-invoices, and a new requirement is that each invoice item must be linked to a classification code from the KPD—an obligation that will affect all e-invoice issuers. Flat-rate craftsmen will not yet be required to issue e-invoices from 1 January 2026, but they will need to choose an information intermediary in order to receive e-invoices.

The Šibenik conference confirmed that preparations for Fiscalization 2.0 require swift organization, clear processes, and reliable technical partners, and experts emphasized that those who start on time will adapt successfully.

This year again, Bolder Agency joined the efforts to raise awareness about aphasia, a complex language disorder mostly caused by stroke. We promoted the activities of the SUVAG Polyclinic Zagreb and the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, who organized Open Days for people with aphasia throughout June.

Each year in Croatia, approximately 12,000 to 13,000 people suffer a stroke, and around 80,000 live with its consequences. At least one-third of them experience speech and language difficulties typical of aphasia and require speech-language therapy.

Aphasia manifests as difficulties in speaking, understanding, reading, writing, and calculating. Symptoms depend on the severity of the stroke and which parts of the brain responsible for language abilities are affected. Besides stroke, aphasia can also result from brain tumors, head trauma, infections, and dementia.

Unfortunately, many individuals do not begin therapy on time due to a lack of information and limited availability of speech-language pathologists for adults. However, the situation is improving thanks to a new network of public health services that includes speech therapy services in primary healthcare centers.

Aphasia has a significant impact on daily life, leading to isolation, stigmatization, and the inability to return to work. Therefore, understanding, support, and adapted communication are key to improving quality of life and supporting the successful recovery of people with aphasia.

The educational program for children was called “Together in water protection”.  The goal was to raise awareness among the youngest about responsible water protection and sensitization of the target group about the need for its protection. The workshops were held in eight schools and a total of 150 pupils from 1^st to 4^th grade.

The topic of water protection was introduced through an interactive presentation and a quiz. After the workshop all pupils received promotional gift packages and specially designed certificate for participating. Due to the epidemiological situation, all workshops were held online, which reduced the desired interaction with children.

The presentation covered the following topics: rivers in my homeland, UNESCO’s declaration of a transboundary biosphere reserve Mura-Drava-Dunav, the role of Međimurske vode, examples and tips on how to use and save water and how we can protect it for future generations. All students were very active and showed an enviable level of knowledge and high awareness of water protection. We like creative work with children and look forward to possible future projects.

Why is speaking at the events “cool”?

It is a great opportunity to present your company and yourself, position yourself as someone who understands industry trends. In addition, by participating in conferences as a speaker you get excellent opportunity to network, meet new partners and share experiences, knowledge and ideas. Conferences are held to gather the industry in finding solutions for the challenges, and speakers have one of the key roles in that process. They express their opinions and thus encourage participants to think about what they are currently doing and what they could / should do. In other words, they influence  public opinion and very quickly can become “influencers” with thousands of followers on LinkedIN, Instagram or Twitter.  Finally, as a speaker you don’t pay expensive registration fees, and you can enjoy all the benefits of conferences.

Therefore, next time when someone invite you to be a speaker at the event, accept that invitation. If you doubt in your presentation/performance abilities, hire PR and do the media training.

Also, during the project, a workshop was held for actors on the topic of adapting performances to blind people. The training was led by Boris Svrtan, a theater actor from the Gavella ensemble, and Gordana Glibo, the editor of the narration. Through the workshop, the actors got acquainted with the process of creating the text of the narration, which enables blind people to independently follow the theater’s performance and the role of the actor in the narration interpretation.

“This project is important because of the inclusion of blind people in the daily life of the community, both in the segment of education and work, as well as cultural events. Through this project, we enable blind people who love theater to get a complete picture of what is happening on the stage at any time with the help of narration. In addition, the project is important in terms of the possibility of creating new jobs for blind people in the segment of the narration of theater plays and films,” said Gordana Glibo, editor of the narration.
